Greetings from Colombia and a most happy new year to you all!

Just a quick note to let you know that my meeting with the Panamerican Health Organization and the National Institute for Health and the Ministry of Health went swimmingly well: there will be many opportunities for collaboratin with Rotary`s Safe Blood Initiative in the coming year, maybe even some opportunities for club members and their wives/husbands/friends to travel to Colombia to assist in promoting the voluntary donation of life saving blood in cooperation with Colombian Rotarians.

Safe Blood Colombia Update

Roger Candelaria is currently in Bogota Colombia to learn about possible solutions and the role that Rotary can play in advancing the practice of voluntary blood donation.
 
He is expecting to hear back from Rotary Governors from Colombia's 3 districts.  He will write later as the Safe Blood Colombia initiative takes shape.
